Afterbirth pains???

I wanted to ask what’s probably a really dumb question.

I had a c-section with my first baby and I do not remember getting any afterbirth pains at all (of course I had pain in my incision site though).

Are afterbirth pains more of a thing with after a vaginal birth? Or do you just not feel the pains because you’ve had a c-section and are numb there for a while?

Im pregnant again and having an elective c-section, and just trying to prepare myself for what to expect. I’ve heard afterbirth pains get more intense with each baby.
