Hgc levels after birth, possible pregnancy?

Hey ladies,

I’m 8 weeks post partum and I decided to take a pregnancy test before asking for birth control.

I have a few questions...

My dollar store test came up with a line so I retested with first response and got a yes (scary thought since we will have three under two and a half 😱)

My question is:

Is it possible that my levels haven’t returned back to normal after birth and that is why I’m testing positive and indeed I’m not actually pregnant? I’m secretly hoping these are just left over hormones from giving birth two months ago. (High hopes lol)
