After giving birth what would you recommend for bleeding?

I used depends after i had my first and I plan to do it again this time. So much easier than messing with the messy pads and worrying about leaks. Plus they were nice for keeping the ice packs they make you at the hospital in place!

Honestly the diapers were so convenient and comfy I wore them for the first 3 days lol

Both.  I used Depends when leaving the house the first few days postpartum because it just felt more secure.  But at home I wore the large hospital pads until bleeding slowed enough for regular ones.

I didn't do Depends until my 4th birth, and I far preferred them to pads. Even with the wings, they always get all bunched up and end up leaking or staining on the sides, or the sticky stuff gets stuck to your skin or hair etc.  Never had an issue with Depends. I liked them so much I now use them when my period is heavy.

I thought really thick pads would be a good idea but I only needed thin pads. I bled lighter than a period for like a week and a half and then nothing. The hospital said that my light bleeding was pretty uncommon even for a csection though. Nurse was shocked like that’s all your bleeding ? So they doubled back and did an US to make sure everything was gone and it came up all clear. I would just stick with pads because in the instance you need a csection I can only imagine how uncomfortable the diapers would be. I would buy really thick ones and thin ones for when and if it tapers off.
