Opinions? Whats going on?

So to make this as short as possible im a single mom. 21 years old. My sons 1 years old. And ive had the nexplanon implant since about 7 weeks pp. While i havent had sex in over a year now i still have the implant because you never truly know when youll get in a relationship o and id rather be safe than sorry if any unexpected intercourse ever happens as i dont want another baby for a couple more years. Now over the past month or so my mom who occassionally babysits my son while im at work has been extremely adamant about me just taking the birth control out. Like shes told me nearly every day this week to just have my doctor remove it at my sons next well child check. I honestly do not know whats going on in her mind and theres no way at all i am getting it removed 2 years early. I am just extremely concerned and honestly confused on why she is so set in stone on me getting it removed. She keeps just saying i have no reason to have it if i am not being sexually active at the moment and even went as far as saying i gain weight when i have it 😂😂 little does she know ive lost 75lbs since having my son
