I put my 2 weeks notice in at my current job. The boss' assistant begged me to stay past the date i gave him. I reluctantly agreed but Im burnt out....so exhausted. Im covering shifts for other people and I simply cant do it anymore...

I work as a vet tech with 10 hr shifts every friggin day. My new job starts April 1st. My last day was supposed to be the 26th. Im struggling to last until after that, tbh. I have so many appts and paperwork to get done for my new job that 10 hr shifts dont allow me to get done.

2 other techs put their notice in right before i did. Its a shit show. Idk what to say to my boss...i felt pressured to go beyond my 2 weeks but its in writing and text message that the 26th is my LAST day. Anything after is a courtesy.

Advice so far: Im told to stick it out or just not show up after the 26th.

I have my references at the clinic. Im not worried about burning bridges.
