Not everybody can be successful
“Not everybody can be successful. Somebody has to flip our burgers”
My Econ teacher told my class this my senior year in high school and it has always stuck in my mind. Not negative nor positive, just there.
What are your thoughts? I’m curious.
Personally, obviously, a lot of people enjoy going to fast food restaurants (like myself) and yeah it would be unfortunate if there was nobody to “make” the food. However, I don’t think any less of those workers. I work in the food industry in a smoothie and juice bar.
Also I don’t think a lot of these people strive to become fast food workers, I know people have a lot of different reasons/ situations.
Of course, for me, this is just a job to pay the bills while I attend school full time to become a teacher.
Update: thank you all for your respectful and thought out responses. Just wanted to hear a couple of opinions on this matter!
