Fell and jammed tooth back into gum!!!

This has been a day.

My son was walking and tripped onto a step and jammed his front tooth back into his gums! (It looks as if he is waiting for a baby tooth to come in).

It's the weekend and the ER said "he doesn't have a concussion." But I want to know about dental issues.

We don't have dental insurance for our baby and have no idea what an injury like this means.

Online we've read it may descend on its own (after 2 years 😫), it can affect the adult tooth (but I think he's too young to have them formed yet), it may rot and need to be extracted, etc.

Has this ever happened to anyone?!
