Anyone get induced without being dilated and have a successful delivery?

Doc is saying if I'm dilated 3-4 by Monday he will induce for a VBAC and if not wants to schedule a c section. He doesn't think an induction would be successful if Im not dilated i guess. I do not want a c section again my first was awful. Just wondering if anyone else was induced while not yet dilated.

I was less than a cm when I was induced, they hooked my up to pitocin and after laboring for about 12 hours I gave birth to my first.

I was induced at 39+2 due to gestational hypertension. I wasn’t even a 1 when I went in. I had an extremely long and taxing and complicated labor for many reasons but I did deliver my son vaginally and he is a healthy 2 year old.

I was 25% effaced and less than 1cm dilated, but had the cervix softening gel and that got me 100% effaced & 3.5cms dilated then dr gave me a membrane sweep and I went into labour without needing pitocin.

I got induced and was maybe 1/2 cm dilated when going in and mine was successful. I’m not sure how a VBAC would go though.

I was 1cm before I got induced. I had the pessary put in for 12 hours and that put me to a 2. Then during my active labour I went from a 4 to a 10 in 2 and a half hours.

Anyone get induced without being dilated and have a successful delivery?
