Hey mommas, I have a concern and need some advice (obviously you aren’t all medical professionals so really I just want opinions)

I’m currently about 9 1/2 weeks pregnant and take 100 mg of Zoloft for anxiety and panic attacks. I have been taking it for the last year and noticed a definite difference in how I function and live my life while on it.

My OB approved it and said it was pregnancy safe but my own research has pointed to it may cause birth defects, some quite dangerous.

My brother-in-law is also a pharmacist so I typically ask him any medication questions.

His response was he wouldn’t advise me to take it. That while it’s technically a class C drug, it’s thought of as a D a lot of the time. He obviously said he’s not a physician and to consult mine before doing anything.

I’d hate to do anything to harm my baby 😞 but I also have a full time job and a toddler that I have to take care of and I’m afraid I won’t be the best mom I can be if I’m constantly anxious and having panic attacks again.
