When my LO since born- 1yr old never uses pacifier, somehow after 1st birthday started using pacifier, 2 yr old now sucking her thumb and not pacifier. I wasn’t worried until recently she’s more obsessed than ever after the overseas vacation, non stop alllll day during vacation. Now that we are back home, it’s little better. When she’s busy she is fine. When she’s not doing anything, she suck right away. Her thumb/nails are so messed up now. I’m not sure how to encourage her not to do it. She does it in car, nap, sleep, watch tv, any time she’s not doing any type of physical activity. Anyone tried to stop sucking thumb successfully? Or at least limit to bedtime?
