Does your 2 year old know any colors yet? If so, about how many?

My son recognizes some letters and numbers, and knows a few shapes, but he thinks every color is green. 🤔

My son isn't able to say any colour names yet, but he recognizes most of them and can point them out when I ask him about a specific one.

He can say most of them but he’ll get one right and then five minutes later, get the same one wrong. I think he’s just guessing most of the time.

My son did that for a while, called every color blue. He figured it out though.

My daughter knows all her colors and is counting to three. She really struggled with language and has been seeing a speech pathologist for almost 5 months now. But this is such progress for her, we are so proud!!!

My son rarely gets them right.  I read an interesting article though that said it has a lot to do with how we present the colors.  So if you say “the brown dog” the child does not associate it the same as if you said “that dog is brown”.  So we have started that and my son has started to pick up on more colors, especially school buses for some reason.  🤷🏻‍♀️. But saying “that bus is yellow” really helped him learn that color.

My daughter knows all her shapes and colours in French and English. Both understanding and saying.

My son does pretty well with colors. He frequently calls purple pink and sometimes confuses blue and green, but is pretty good. Shapes...sometimes. He can repeat numbers back to you and count to 3, but does not recognize any numbers written out yet and definitely no letters.
