Head down... maybe?

Question

So I go for my final ultrasound tomorrow and I’m still not sure if my baby is head down. He currently has the hiccups and I feel him below my belly button but it’s over to the right almost near my hip. Makes me wonder if he’s sideways? What do you all think? Where do you feel your baby’s hiccups?

It’s very unreliable to try and determine baby’s position by where you feel hiccups. I feel mine above the belly button & way over to the right. I immediately started googling and went into a full panic thinking he was breech. Last 2 appointments he’s been head down. When he hiccups his whole body moves and his butt is what I was feeling. Don’t worry about where the hiccups are momma!

I had an ultrasound today and baby had hiccups during it (so neat to watch and feel it at the same time). Baby was definitely head down but I was feeling the hiccups above my belly button. My first was head down the entire pregnancy and I felt his hiccups on my hip bone and in my butt every time.

I have read if you feel your baby’s hiccups below the belly button they are head down which is so not true since every two weeks I have been getting ultrasound and he is still head down. I feel the hiccups low down on my left side.

I just felt my baby’s hiccups on the left side... and I’m pretty sure she’s not head down. Feels like she was laying down sideways. 😭 34 weeks.
