What would you do?

Last week (look on “livid” topic in adult relationships) my boss told me I HAD to see a client (not in healthcare field) who told us (voluntarily, because he was complaining) about how sick he’d been with the flu and how he was on tamiflu. I, of course, told him I didn’t want to take him back to my office, because he was hacking up a lung and not covering his mouth. I had contact with him at first, because he didn’t tell me he had it until he was almost back to my office.

Long story short, I ended up seeing him at our front window (completely glass), and my boss flew off the handle. She said she didn’t want the secretary moving out of the way, and that we have to see people who have the flu in our office. She said just Lysol everything, which doesn’t prevent the spread of germs due to coughing. 🙄

That was last Thursday. Yesterday I started getting severe body aches. Now I have fever, a headache, coughing, nausea, and body aches. I feel terrible. Like death warmed over. About a month ago, I had the stomach virus and called out. My boss and some coworkers proceeded to talk smack, even though I rarely miss work. I also have a 7.5 month old at home, which my boss still acts pissy that I was out on maternity leave for 8 weeks.

Since we have to see people who have the flu, and people want to talk smack about calling out, (and the only place I’ve literally been back and forth to since Thursday is work) would you stay just to prove a point? It still makes me so mad, because I feel like I most likely caught this from work.
