Anyone else self-employed?

What’re you doing for maternity leave in terms of length of time etc. :)

I own a small business which means I can’t take a “formal” maternity leave so I’m planning on not taking in-person meetings for 6 weeks and juggling calls and emails in the meantime with a ton of help and support from my husband and mom!  
We had also talked about hiring a part-time in home nanny early on so that I can more easily navigate work and baby. 
Everyone wants to give their opinion on it, but they rarely understand that in this scenario, I can’t just tell my clients to wait for me for three months. I’d love to hear what other self-employed/small business owners are planning!

I'm self employed, and I dont plan on taking time off, everything i do is from home anyways, we are into the flipping business I sit on Facebook all day looking for car with minimal problems my husband goes out diagnosis to make sure it's not overly expensive to fix picks up the car fixes it then we sell them at blue book value. So I really have no reason to take off since all I do is sit on my phone anyways. I'll even be doing it in the hospital. It's awesome money as long as we dont purchase the wrong thing:) Alot of people sell their cars thinking it's worse case scenario when actually it's really not.

Maybe 2 weeks 😬 realistically I’ll just take baby with me to the store.  So honestly just a few days probably. I have others that can help with the basics but I will have to be accessible to them with questions and help. I’ll prob take baby to work with me for the first 6 weeks then do part time daycare after that for a few weeks.

I’m taking 2 weeks. I’m not self employed but I do work from home and the company I work for is fairly new so they don’t have a maternity policy.

We own a business and I stay home answering phones/invoicing/bills and my husband goes out and works. I’ll be taking just a week off. I can screen phone calls and call people back. Invoices can be done at night when dad is home to help.
