NIPT test questions for those who have had it done.
I’ve noticed a lot of people wait until 10+weeks to have their NIPT done.
My doctor let me have my blood drawn at 8w 1d for my NIPT test at my week 8 appointment (I see my doc once a month).
Are y’all being asked to wait until 10+weeks to have the test drawn, or is it just coincidently when you have your appointment that it’s after 10w?
I trust my doctor, but I’m just worried if we jumped the gun on this test, if the test is accurate since I had it done so early. And I wasn’t able to find a lot of info online. I asked the doc at my 12 week appointment and he said the company is 99% accurate, but I can opt to have the more invasive amniotic screening (I believe that’s what he called it) if I need more peace of mind at no cost, except for a “doctor’s consultation fee” for the doc that would preform the draw. At this time I have declined.
Just don’t want to have a false negatives with the results I had (everything came back good and clear for my baby boy!)
