Two days late

I am 2 days late for my period and I still haven’t tested because i simply just rather wait before getting to excited and I still have these mild cramps and I’m pooping a lot (sorry to be tmi) these are normal signs of my period. I mean my cramps got so bad the other day and I was positive I was about to start but I didn’t. If my cramps got bad do I still have a chance of being pregnant??? because I read that your cramps shouldn’t feel intense if you did conceive. Just curious what people think.
