38 weeks today. Contractions. WWYD?

Question

I’m 38 weeks today with my third. I’ve never gone into labor on my own, always been induced at 41 weeks. I’ve been having contractions for a while and they’re more painful than the Braxton Hicks contractions I have experienced but not unbearable. Should I wait till they are so painful I can’t breath through them before calling the hospital and husband? Husband is at work about an hour away.

I would wait until they are really bad- I had contractions consistantly every 2 mins 30 seconds that I could breath through but not sleep through for... 8 hours? When I got checked I was only 1 cm lol. They told me to wait until I couldnt breath through them lol

Hmmm I’d personally wait until they were a little more consistent and less “bearable”. I’d give my husband a call just as a heads up, and probably call the hospital to get their take on it. Good luck!

I would call the hospital to check, although since they aren’t a consistent time apart, they probably won’t have you come in until they are consistent for an hour straight.

This is a picture of a paper that labor and delivery gave me when I went in the other day I think you should at least call your doctor. I hope this helps you
