How long did your anatomy scan take?

They haven’t told me to prepare for anything like having a full bladder or whatever (they take a urine sample at each appointment either way), but is there something I can do to prepare for it?

My tech let me go to the bathroom after she got the first bit done. She said they only need a full bladder to get a certain part.

Drink juice or chocolate milk before hand so baby is awake and moving

My office tests urine every visit, no full bladder necessary for scan. I also drank a soda beforehand so she'd be moving around a lot and boy did it work! Got some great images, including gender (even though we already knew from blood test)

I was told to drink water only for mine so the baby is calm and NOT moving around. Makes it easier to see the gender.

They actually made me pee right before I went back 🤷🏻‍♀️

My tech told me my bladder was too full so I used the ladies room before my ultrasound and she was able to see everything that she needed to :)
