Anyone else struggling with excessive spit up?!

My little guy is just about 3 weeks old, and I am exclusively breast feeding. For the past couple weeks he has been spitting up what seems like his entire meal! He does this 2-3 times a day. It doesn’t seem to bother him, and he’s gaining weight. I’ve been nursing him in a more upright position, burping him, and keeping him upright after his feedings but it doesn’t seem to make a difference. Any other advice would be appreciated!!

My first did this. Had very bad reflux and was super fussy. Had to go on zantac for the reflux. I cut out dairy from my diet and helped some. I was also told to cut gluten and soy from my diet.

YESSS. I’ve been researching thus for a couple nights during my pump session. We are bottle feeding and can regulate consumption. Baby boy but I’d like a champ and we got a by the bed bassinet that inclines but we’re still massively spitting up at almost every feeding. Really frustrating for me who is struggling with low supply.

Same here. So reassuring to see so many other ladies experiencing this! My little one has been struggling to gain weight though. He's on the upswing now but ugh this spit up stresses me because of that.

I have the same problem. I just try to stop her mid feed to burp (but she rarely burps) then hold her on my best up right for 15 mins after. Doesn’t always work lol

My first baby had this and it lasted for 6 months. It was because the muscle at the top of his stomach wasn’t very strong. It was rough and I smelled like rotten milk all day everyday.

It's hard when breastfeeding to know how much they are getting but my daughter will do this if she drinks anymore then 2.5-3 ounces. She also needs frequent breaks for burping and the breaks help to know if she is full because she will refuse anymore after stopping, but if she had the bottle in her mouth the whole time would not stop drinking. They can act rooty when really they just have an upset tummy so I have been using gripe water as well.

Same and my son has reflux. I use gripe water, hold him up for 20 to 30 minutes post each feedings, and started baby probiotics. It’s so challenging....

I have the same problem. He’s gaining fine! I’ve heard as long as they aren’t upset after, then they’re okay.
