Helping prep your body for labor
So I’m 34 weeks 6 days and this is baby #3 for us! Even though it’s baby #3, I am still extremely terrified of having to get a c-section... with my first 2, my water broke but I stalled at 2-3 cm. With my first, my effacement stalled at 50% so with my second, I discovered Evening Primrose Oil and started using it vaginally at 35 weeks. My son was born 37 weeks and a few days (I don’t contribute that to the EPO because I was predicted to have him early by my doctor).
This time around, my doctor told me to start taking 1000mg orally at 34weeks 5 Days and start using them at 2000mg orally AND vaginally at 35 weeks. I thought 34 weeks was a bit early and he said it doesn’t work for all women but if it does work for me, it takes 2-3 weeks to even start doing anything so that made me feel better lol if it doesn’t nothing else for me, at least it’ll help me not to tear! 😊
