Relatively quick but painful first birth!

9 pm on tuesday at 39 weeks and 4 days I started having regular contractions, five minutes apart for an hour. They were so painful I honestly thought I was going to die. I get to the hospital and they tell me I'm only 1cm dialated with the membranes in tact so go home and "walk it off".

I was so angry, did they not understand how much pain I was in??? I couldn't move let alone walk?! Can't they do anything for the pain? Apparently not 🙄

Anyway we go home and I'm just convulsing from the pain. Shaking and having spasms I was sure I was going to have a heart attack.

At 2am I feel a minor gush, look down and my pjs are covered in blood so we head back in.

Nurse tells me it's actually my waters tinged with blood and that I'm 9cm dialated 😱

I freak out and ask if it's too late for an epidural (no). So I got one and finally felt alive again.

Pushed for 2 hours and my beautiful Edric was born! Second degree tear but other than that everything went really well 😊
