VBAC or Repeat C-Section?

Hey, ladies! I had an emergency c-section with my son in January 2018. If I had the option to try a VBAC with my same OB, I would 100% choose that. But, the hospital she works at doesn't allow them. So, now I have to decide if I want a different doctor to deliver at a different hospital so I can attempt a VBAC, or just opt for a repeat c-section with my OB (who I love) at the same hospital (which I love) with the same nurses (who I love!) I am SO torn. 
What is your experience with birth after a c-section?? Did you attempt a VBAC or opt for a repeat c-section? Were you happy with your choice? Was your VBAC successful? Any advice and/or experience helps!! Thank you!

My mom had a VBAC with me. My sister was a planned cesarean due to her being breech. I was born completely unmedicated and vaginally and she fully loved it. I think she’d be sad if she hadn’t had that redemptive birth experience! But she really hated the cesarean, and if you were happy with your cesarean birth then it’s probably fine to do it again. I think if you’re planning on having a few more kids after this one though , I’d definitely try to go with the VBAC. Cesareans have more risks the more you have them.

I haven't had experience with one, but I would like to try for one. I plan to talk to my OB about it at my first appointment. My daughter was born by c-section in August 2016 though.  I think the longer it has been since the c-section the better.
