Did you get to take GTT home or half to do it in office?

Were you allowed to take the drink home the visit prior and drink it an hour before your appointment? Or did they make you wait?

I got to take mine home. They had me drink it 30 minutes prior to my appointment, then drew after I saw my doctor.

They gave it to me at my 24 week appointment to take home and put in my fridge. I then drank it at home an hour before my appointment time for my 28 week appointment. They drew my blood when I got to the office and then I went home.

Some versions of the test also require a fasting blood sugar reading, so they generally make you drink it under medical supervision in the clinic for all tests

With my first, I had to drink it at the office. With my second, I used a different obgyn, and they sent the drink home with me so I drank it, and they drew my blood 1 hour later once I got to my appointment

You have to wait at the clinic, because blood has to be drawn exactly at 1 hour.
