Pregnancy and Work?
It's currently 4 am. I haven't been able to go back to sleep for the last hour or so, and I have to be at work at 6 am.
I find myself nodding off at work, but my boss won't let me take sit breaks to rest for just a moment, and I'm on my feet all day. She even knows I'm pregnant and just doesn't really care.
I nap when I get home, but it never seems like enough because I can't sleep at night. I've been getting 4-6 hours of sleep a night when I would get 8-10 usually.
And don't even get me STARTED on the morning sickness. I find myself in a toilet stall at work every few hours, dry heaving with nothing coming out and everything just sucks and in that moment I just want to go home.
My hubby had me go down to four days a week instead of five, but it just doesn't seem like enough. I feel like I'm hindering everyone at my job more than helping, and God forbid if I got fired because of it.
I'm at my wits end and I have no idea at what to do. I'm currently 6 weeks exactly, but my symptoms have been showing since 4 and it's been kicking my ass. I feel like this is too early to be feeling this way, but I've been dealing with it since week 4.
My hubby has been encouraging me to find an office job, but most people won't hire pregnant women or offer maternity leave until after a year. I also have insurance through my company. So if I leave, unless it's to become a stay at home mom, it would be for the worst.
How do you ladies do it? I need advice because I'm going nuts.
