Who comes first?

Question

Me and my boyfriend are having the debate. I say our child comes first then each other but he says that me and our son are equal in his eyes.

Right now baby gets almost all my time since she is breastfeeding and is dependent on us for everything. However, in the long run my husband comes first.

Here is my thing. My child is helpless. He completely depends on me in every aspect of his life. My husband is a grown self sufficient man, and while there are some things we need each other for, it's not to the same capacity as my son. So my son comes first.

What do you define as putting your child or SO first? Because I think this question is pretty loaded.

Depends on the situation. As long as we are a family we are all equal to me but if there’s a choice I’ll choose my daughter

Depends. Life or death, kids obviously. But making sure to give attention and respect to, equal. 
Obviously I'm not going to put feeding my husband first or silly things like that but I feel like both relationships are equally put first for different reasons.

I have always said WE come first
We were here first!... we have to focus on US and keep this family unit working well as a couple and as a TEAM!
Our child will benefit more by us being great than us fighting all the time.  
It's my top priority to ensure my child is raised in a loving home with two parents!
My baby needs me too... I get that... but he will get more quality time from who happy parents and that's a fact 💙

It’s really hard, but I’m trying to still make our routine as normal as possible. It’s been hard but I am still trying to make time to have dinner ready and do other things. Even simple walks with our dog and daughter, it gives us time together even though we still have our little one with us. The other day my husband was doing some landscaping and due to having a c-section I couldn’t help but I sat out there with him while I fed our daughter and we were able to still have some quality conversations. 
It is hard but I really try to make an effort to make sure I’m still engaging in our relationship.
