Ectopic pregnancy

I had such a scary experience today im going to make this short.

I went to the ER today bc i had really bad pelvic and lower back pain i took a home pregnancy test a couple of days ago and it was positive. Once I got checked in the ER they did 2 ultrasounds one vaginal and a normal one as well as a pelvic exam when i was back in the room i felt like i was waiting for a long time. The doctor told me there's some bad news he said i might be experiencing a Ectopic pregnancy or a miscarriage bc from the results they didn't hear a heart beat and didn't find a signs of a baby inside me or that the baby is already dead or it could also mean it could be a early pregnancy 😭 my jaw dropped i felt so sad i started crying they told me i had to go back home and get a HCG test done by my obgyn has anyone else experienced this?
