One hour of breast feeding and he’s still hungry!?

Anyone else having issues where baby nurses for a long period of time and is either still hungry or hungry again within a very short period of time?

Yeup! For the last couple days.! It’s every hour or just to fall asleep

My LC showed me how to tell if baby is actually feeding and swallowing or just sucking for comfort. Make sure you watch their throat and look for the big gulp to see if they are actually eating. They could just be comfort nursing

I started pumping this week and found that i wasn’t consistently producing enough (sometimes too much, other times not enough), and I regularly produce more on one side. So i assume when babe was doing this, it was because he wasn’t getting enough. I’ve been pumping and bottle feeding breast milk and he’s much happier. He’s breast fed in the morning when i know there’s enough for him. Until my supply is more regulated this is the route that works best for us. 
You may want to contact a lactation consultant for a weighted feed. They will weigh baby before and after a feeding to see how much they’re getting.

Moms that’s breast feeding I have a question?? Did they leave your baby in the room after birth for you to feed or do you have to wait two hours before the first try?

It takes a lot of energy for babies to nurse and as they're growing they need more food. Baby is trying to up your supply for what it needs. Look into cluster feeding.
