Infertility @ 19..

So to be blunt, I have been having unprotected sex with the same guy i’ve been with since we were 15. Now I know what you’re thinking, that might have been a mistake. But I’m actually glad we did start having unprotected sex at a young age because I wouldn’t of found out that I was actually infertile. I have yet to go to an actual doctor about it but I was diagnosed at 13 with PCOS, so it was always a thought I was infertile. But now I am nearly 20 years old, engaged & my fiancé & I are so ready to start our own little family. I want to schedule an appointment to get it checked out but I already feel that they would try to start me on Birth Control. But I have never liked Birth Control & I refuse to go on it especially when trying to have a baby. Anyone know what they might prescribe me to help me through this???

Well I can tell you what exactly I did. To get pregnant if you’d like. I’m 21 and currently 5 weeks pregnant with my 1st and I have PCOS.🙂

So I s did start on birth control but only took it for 3 weeks. Then I went to see a fertility specialist “shady grove fertility “ they made my fiancé so a semen analyst, and a blood draw for me as well as an ultrasound so agin check and make sure I actually had PCOS. They ordered an HSG telling to see if my Fallopian tubes were blocked.... I declined because it’s expensive even with insurance. We waited for my next cycle and on cycle day 3 they make you do another ultrasound totally uncomfortable.... an if everything is okay they start you on femara( Letrozole) on cycle day 7 you are done. You go back on CD 12 for another ultrasound to see if you have a mature enough egg to drop and if so they send you home with a trigger shot (ovidrel) which makes you ovulate. Baby dance that night the next morning rest a day an then agin. 8 days post trigger shot you will need to take a pregnancy test to see if the trigger shot has left your system. If so test agin 15 days post trigger..... this is exactly what I did but everyone is different.
