Need baby wearing help!

My LO is almost a month old and I really want to be able to wear her for daily activities. We got a Lille baby carrier that says it’s safe for newborns but every time I put LO in she slumps down and her head is smothered in my chest. I’m so worried she’s going to suffocate or something. I’ve followed the instructions for newborn placement, but I still don’t feel comfortable-she doesn’t seem comfortable either.

Anyone else have one or have tips on making it work? Am I too early with baby wearing?

I was also gifted a sling which baby meets the weight requirements for but the packaging said 4 months and up. I will be researching that more.
