I don’t understand women that feel they need a push present. You and your spouse came to the decision to have a child and that should be enough of a gift. 
I know some girls that feel they have “earned it”. I just find it ridiculous, you just got the most precious gift you could ask for .... your child!

My idea of a gift is more than 10 minutes of silence to myself. Hubby is very hands on, that’s my gift: teamwork.

I didn’t ask for a push present (and didn’t want one) but when we got home, my husband left a letter on my pillow telling me how proud he was of me and how much he loved me. It made me tear up and I will probably keep it and reread it forever :)

I got a present from my husband, MIL & mom after my csection! I don’t think my was a push present but rather “you labored for over 30 hours and had to have an emergency csection and we feel bad for you” present.

My husband got me a gift for the birth of each of our children that we picked out together. We call it is push present, but it's not so much because I think I deserve something, but more something special to commemorate the special occassion of the birth of our children. For my son (first born) it was a necklace with feet on then and a tiny diamond (his birthstone) that we got engraved with his initials and date of birth. For my daughter it was stud earrings in her birthstone (aquamarine).

My husband gave me a small gift, a nice little lap table I can use in bed with the baby. I can put my drink and iPad/laptop on it. Practical gift to help me stay occupied while recovering and feeding. He said he thought I would like it and it would be useful. I didn’t pressure him or give him hints, we only talked about the concept of push presents together. Haha he had never heard of it before.

My husband read about it online and got me something. I was in L&D waiting to be induced, when my water broke while I was laying on the bed. He immediately thought that’s when women generally started pushing the baby out 🤣 He quickly dug through his bag and pulled a present out and wanted me to open it. It was a diamond and aquamarine (baby’s March birthstone) necklace.
