Unsure about a relationship.

So i’ve been dating someone for a little more than 6 months now, and he is amazing, but his phone broke and he couldn’t get another one. now a year later he’s getting one for his birthday (7 days) so i can finally talk to him out of school. the thing is that he says i look good says i’m gorgeous and always ends the day with us just hugging for a long time and him kissing my cheek. but he doesn’t want to kiss me on my lips. what should i do? my friends think he’s weird and stuff but honestly i like how he thinks stupid things are funny. he’s really cute and when i’m around him i have the butterflies. he always says i love you back to me and things. my best friend thinks i should break up with him. thoughts?
