When did you announce your pregnancy at work?

Question

I’m toggling between announcing to my grade level  team 12 wks or waiting until after I get my genetic testing done & results back (everyone else will just have to figure it out on their own ).  When did you announce or plan on announcing?  And what were your reasons?
I technically don’t HAVE to announce at work at all being that I’ll only be about 4 1/2 months once school ends & doubt I’ll be showing by then.  But dang, this is my first baby and I am bursting to tell the world!

I’m a teacher, too! I told my work bestie and my grade level partner, but I’m only 7 1/2 weeks so I’m not ready to tell everyone. I just found out on Monday that it’s TWINS so I’m afraid I’ll start showing really soon. I’m so bloated at night, but in the morning it goes down. I’m hoping to wait until 12 weeks to make a big announcement, but it might be sooner if I start showing.

I am a teacher as well and I would always announce at 12 weeks to my co-workers and students. The only people that knew before that were my really close co-workers and my principals.

I told my boss at 12 weeks and then just let everyone else figure it out. Once a couple people knew, it didn’t take long for everyone to know

I told my boss at 11weeks because i had already had 2 dr appts and I was beginning to hit the “is she fat or pregnant” stage😂

I’m a teacher as well. I told my principals (I am an orchestra teacher in 5 elementary schools) at 11 weeks. I’m still looking for a long term sub. It’s a very difficult job to sub in. Not everyone has the expertise.

I had 2 jobs at the time. I had just started this new job the month we started trying (i have pcos and was told it would take awhile for us to conceive, IF we even could without medical help, so i figured id be there for awhile before it happened).
I also worked at a fast food place on the weekends along with my SO.
For my main job - i never really announced. I told my boss because i needed to leave early one day for the appointment to confirm the pregnancy but it was a day i was in training so i needed approval or i couldnt get in for another month. Then over time we would talk about it and slowly others would overhear and figure it out.
The second job we didnt want people to know until after the first trimester. We told my family immediately and one day after the pregnancy was confirmed my aunt had come in for lunch and saw my SO, forgot that no one there knew and said "im so excited you two are having a baby" and thats how all my coworkers there found out lol. My SO had been telling people there i was pregnant because my period was late but id turn around and tell them no because the tests were coming back negative. When it was confirmed we agreed not to tell anyone there for a few more weeks but that didnt work lol.

I wanted to wait until 12 weeks but told at 10 weeks because I had such bad morning sickness and shared a cubicle with my supervisor so it felt impossible to hide.

I told my work bestie immediately after taking the test on my lunch break lol. Then I told those who work closely to me around 16 weeks and everyone else around 20-21 weeks.
