Gagging while brushing teeth?

Since I have hit the second trimester I have noticed that brushing my teeth makes me gag until i throw up whatever is in my stomach. 1. Is this normal? 2. What are ways around this to still be able to keep my routine? Sorry if all of this sounds stupid..just struggling a little bit

Me. Every damn day. I find that if I scroll Facebook or watch a video while I’m brushing it helps distract me.

I brick my teeth but not my tongue bc it makes me gag. I also use mouth wash often. And I try to suck it up a brush my tongue like once a weeks to not feel so gross. 😩
