Chlamydia...no judgement.

Back in the beginning of January I had a swab done while getting my IUD. It came back negative. 6 weeks later in the middle of Feb. I went in for another pelvic exam to check on strings and my OB said everything looked good. I didn’t have sex again until about 4 weeks ago with a FWB (haven’t had sex with anyone else since), it was the first time we had sex without using protection. What made me suspicious was that after we were done I noticed a tall pill bottle on his nightstand and I’m not sure why but it set off red flags for me. I know they say Chlamydia has very vague/if any symptoms so I went ahead and got tested on Monday. I wasn’t going to get tested at all but I couldn’t shake the feeling and my doctor called me just yesterday to tell me I tested positive for Chlamydia. I was in so much disbelief but I knew this individual was out at college parties, bars, every weekend so it was a matter of time. I’m glad my intuition kicked in. I felt dirty and very betrayed. I know they say you’re suppose to let everyone you’ve slept with in the past 6mo-1yr know that you have it but if my swab was clean back in January, what are the odds it could have been a false negative with a swab? I was having sex with one other person using condoms back in December before I got tested in January, not so sure if I should let him know too. Help :( and always follow your gut on things ladies!
