How long before and after?

Question

How long before you’re due do you stop working and how soon can you go back? I’ve gotten answers ranging from the week of to two months and going back 3-8 weeks after. I’m sure everyone is different but there’s gotta be an average on this, right? (I’m a server so I’m not at a desk and I can’t just leave)

I’m going as long as I can, I’m working on a farm, so very physical, but likely stopping 2 weeks before due date.  Going back 4-6 weeks after, not getting paid maternity, but we get free vegetables and other benefits.

In Canada we have a year of paid maternity leave but I won’t take all of it. I’m a dancer/dance teacher so work is already difficult for me. I had to stop teaching but I still go every day to help/do desk stuff. I will probably stop right before I give birth, right in the new year starting. I will most likely take six months off like I did my other two pregnancies, which means I’ll be back around March 2020.

I'll be going off work two weeks before dd. I'll take 8 months off - that's how long work will top up my paid maternity leave to match my normal wage. And then my husband will take the rest as parental leave.  We have an option of 1 year or 1.5 year paid now.  It's the same amount total, just smaller payments over a longer time if we want.  But I'm in Canada, not sure where you are

I work two jobs. I’m a dental hygienist in a private practice. I’m stopping working there 3 weeks before I’m due. Then going back 9 weeks after my due date (I can take more if needed) my other job which is teaching in a dental hygiene program I may stay until I go into labor I haven’t decided yet as it’s an hour away from my doctor so just depends. Then I get 6-8 weeks after that. I will prob go back there before I go back to clinical

With my son I went into labor getting ready for work and was out for 14 weeks. I will work up until labor with this baby and try to take 14-18 weeks off.
