Lauging gas?

Any moms out here ever had a delivery with laughing gas. The hospital im delivering at offers it so im curious about others experiances

I used it as my only pain relief during both deliveries. I didn’t feel sick or dizzy using it but I know a few people do. I found it great! Enough to take the edge off

Everybody has a different experience but I used it with my first delivery (all natural) and didn’t find it helped at all so I didn’t bother using it with my second.

I tried it and hated it. My big thing during my labor/ delivery was to be mentally present. I was told that the gas would make it so that I didn’t care about the pain but I would still feel it. You breathe gas during contractions and room air between. My contractions were one on top of the other. I wouldn’t come down from a contraction before the next one started. I tried to only use it when my contractions peaked but that didn’t work for me either. I felt very dizzy and loopy while using it which is something that I didn’t want. I am not sure had my contractions been a little more textbook then maybe it would have worked better for me. I am glad that I tried it.

It didn’t do anything but make me woozy and lightheaded. It made me curse less and mildly more compliant, I didn’t have an epidural and was not into doing what the nurse was walking me too. But for any type of pain relief, nope.

I had this and still ended up with the epidural. It would be great if you got it towards the very end lol but for me it wore off wayyyy before I could push

Best thing ever.  It’s like legally getting high to me lol.  It put me in my own world and helped me cope with labor pain.  Downside is I was so out of it I don’t remember much of what happened during and I couldn’t follow instructions well.  Upside, time flew by and helped me cope very well without epidural or other meds.
