Ok so a few days ago I posted how my daughter could have died if I’d let my mil take her with her shopping cause she pulled out in front of someone and they hit where my child’s seat was at and cops said if my daughter had been in there she would have been killed on impact and since then I have refused to let my mil drive with her. But the other day she asked me to let my daughter ride with her to visit my brother in law who lives bout 2 miles down the road and before I could even say I wasn’t sure I felt comfortable with my daughter riding with her my daughter yells out to my mil “can we do like we usually do to where we leave my car seat at home”!!! i was livid y’all I told my mil “what the hell does she mean? You took her without her car seat” she got all mad and defensive and looked and talked to me like I was making to big a deal out of it and was like “yea she’s fine it’s just right around the corner chill out!” I was like she’s not going without her seat, it’s a proven fact that a big percentage of wrecks happen just miles away from home, you could get hit right as you leave the drive way. I was so pissed I already don’t trust her driving with her cause she’s a reckless driver and doesn’t pay attention but this crosses the line. I walked upstairs to call my husband but he didn’t answer and then when I came back down they were gone and my daughters seat was still in my car! I no lie bout called the cops on the bitch but didn’t out of respect for my hubby. I went straight there put my daughter in the car seat and came home. Anyways idk how but with my pregnancy brain I forgot all about it and never told my hubby till today, my brother in law invite our daughter to come play so I asked my hubby to take her cause I had a little accident today and was scared to drive and then remembered what had happened with his mom and told him. And that’s when I was completely blown away, Y’all he legit was like oh I do that too and it’s even worse with him cause he has a single cab truck so she is sitting in the front seat with no car seat! She’s 5 years old and only weighs 38lbs she HAS to be in a seat! I can’t get him or his family to understand the danger in it and it’s really bugging me! Am I overreacting, I totally believe I’m not but want opinions. I always think of the negative so I don’t look at it positively like oh she’ll be fine I look at it like omg they could wreck and she’d be seriously hurt or even killed. My hubby and his family are acting like I’m being too over protective
