Irritable uterus?!

Question

Hi. I’m 32 weeks with twin boys. I went in to get checked over yesterday as I’ve been having contractions since about 9am yesterday morning and although my cervix is still closed they could track these contractions. They are not Braxton-Hicks, said that I have an irritable uterus. Has anyone else had this? I’ve been contracting since yesterday morning and no amount of rest or fluids is helping?

I went through PTL and then was diagnosed with irritable uterus! Was put on pelvic rest and modified bed rest at 29 weeks. No cervical checks unless absolutely necessary. The doctor advised me that the contractions I was having were nuisance contractions and would likely continue throughout the remainder of pregnancy as my uterus was saying it had reached the end of pregnancy when in fact it hadn’t.. twin pregnancy is fun I’m ready to meet my guys.
