Pregnant STNA’s ?

I’m 4 weeks 4 days pregnant . I haven’t told my boss yet that I’m pregnant. I work in a nursing home. Has anyone else worked as an aide through their pregnancy and did fine ?

There’s no reason you can’t work til the end as a CNA for a healthy pregnancy. My job is very physical, operating room aid/CNA and I worked til the day I went into labor.

I’m a nurse at the second busiest ER in the state. I typically walk a 1000 steps an hour at work. My job is very physical with pushing, pulling, moving heavy stretchers and so forth. I’ve always been told to just listen to my body and stay hydrated. My last pregnancy I worked up until delivery, no problem.

Yep! I was fine. Had to tell my boss at 6 because we had a gastro outbreak and I didn't want to risk it after a recent miscarriage. She kept it secret and I didn't announce until 20 weeks. Some of the gross smells were a bit hard to work with so I found myself vomiting in patients bins sometimes (don't worry I cleaned up!). My company's policy is that STNAs can't work past 34 weeks due to the physical nature of the job but it's fully paid time off so I was lucky
