Hormone blood test

So when I went to the doc yesterday to see if I had a BFP it was negative. However my Gyn is getting all my hormone test done and diabetes, thyroid, testosterone and etc! I’m really excited because I have never ttc for so long and nothing happen!! this will be my 3rd pregnancy with only one loving child. Anybody go through this ? Any advice to offer?
