We’ve been bedsharing and cosleeping since my daughter was born. At first we had a little bassinet that went on the bed to keep her safe from us rolling or blankets. Then when she was too big for that we did try to keep her mostly in the crib in our room until she was big enough that we felt good about just having her in the bed again. For probably the past year she’s been going to sleep in her crib, then joining us in the bed if she woke in the night, then going back in her crib at some point (we usually get up before her and we never leave her in our bed unattended).

Well, the past two nights (I know it’s not REALLY long enough to assume it’s a permanent thing - I’m just being dramatic) she has woken up to go potty, nursed a little (we only do it at night now) and then gotten out of our bed and asked to go back in her crib. Then she’s slept the entire rest of the night (usually she wakes up at least twice). I’ll admit it’s kind of awesome to have my bed to myself and for her to be sleeping better but I miss my baby 😭😭😂🥰
