Losinging weight with Hypothyroidism?

Hey,
So my doctor put me in medication for Hypothyroidism and I wanted to know if it’s harder losing the weight even with the medication. 
I’m getting back into working out and I already don’t eat a lot or too much junk anyways.

It’s hard but not impossible! I also have hypothyroidism. I was diagnosed at 17. I’m 28 now. My highest weight was 306.  I now weigh around 200-210 (I fluctuate).  
It wasn’t easy but I did it all natural. No pills, no shakes. I worked out almost everyday for at least 30 minutes a day. I drank half my weight in ounces of water everyday. I just watched what I ate — smaller portions, healthier options. 
I would love to lose about 20 more but I am so happy with where I’m at right now.

It IS more difficult. I had an endocrinologist explain why the hormonal weight gain is harder to lose than fat from overeating. You have to be dilligent about your medication and somewhat strict on your diet. Since hypothyroidism causes low energy, you really have to be careful not to consume extra calories just to counteract this, like having a huge coffee with lots of cream and sugar.
Make sure you meds are correct, and address and other issues like insulin resistance and high cholesterol which can occur with hypothyroidism.  Also make sure your heart is okay for exercise.
