Tonsillitis aftermath

So I had been prescribed penicillin around 2 weeks ago which was a 10 day course, I have now finished the treatment and my tonsils are still inflamed and look weird.. has anyone else had the same aftermath before? Ans if so, what did you do or suggest I do? Thanks!
