My doctor said I could but it could possibly be too much of a stressor If it were to possibly pick up something and it not be anything. We opted for an elective private scan instead.

You need to put the “only to find out gender early” in the top part of the poll with the initial question. It only shows up AFTER you vote. So my vote is now wrong. 
I wouldn’t have done it for just gender, I did it bc I’m over 35 and lost my last pregnancy to a chromosomal abnormality.

I didn’t do them with my first and I didn’t do it with my second. Theirs only one genetic issue it runs on my side so I didn’t bother with doing the testing.

We’ve chosen to not do any with all 3 of ours. I live in Canada and the gender isn’t offered through the genetic testing and my dr advised against genetic testing in our case. She typically advises it for women 35+, if there is a family history on either side or have had multiple or late stage miscarriages.

I did. I tested positive as a carrier for Tay-Sachs, now waiting for my husband’s results.
