Was babies estimated weight close to actual birth weight?

Hi ladies, just curious to know how close we’re your babies birth weight to their estimated weight as my baby is estimated to be 8lbs+ so I’ve bought more clothes from 0-1 (upto 10lbs+). I’ve bought a few newborn but they are only upto 7lbs. Thank you xx

Omg I’m terrified. At 34 weeks my boy was 6 lbs 12.5 oz already!! I go for another ultrasound this week to see how big he is now!! Ahh! They’re thinking he’s a GIANT. He’s apparently over 9 lbs already. But I’ll know for sure this week.

My midwife guessed my son would be 8.5 lbs and he was 10...but that wasn’t with an ultrasound, just her hands feeling my belly...🤷🏻‍♀️

Mine said 7.9 a day before delivery and she was 7.7. Sometimes there off but most of the time I’d say they are pretty close. Rarely we have one 2 or 3 pounds off. And if so the ultrasound tech gets talked too haha I work in L&d.

At 38 weeks they measured my daughter at 7 pounds 11 ounces. She was born at exactly 40 weeks weighing 6 pounds 12 ounces. I won’t get a growth scan this time since I’m scheduled for a c section anyway. I’m so curious though, hoping he’s around the same size as my daughter since I have a ton of newborn clothes.

Ive had a couple of my babies estimated 1lb more then they were. This time baby is measuring really big at 34 weeks.... I'm afraid. Lol

My first was estimated to be 6-7lb at 38 weeks, I had him at 39+3 and he was 9lb 3oz :)

Not sure if everyone is the same but a week before I had my daughter the ultrasound said 5lbs 15oz and she was born 5lbs 13oz 🤷🏻‍♀️
