My soon to be ex was a nightmare and I had pressed charges that fell short of going to trial. He's been able to see our son if he wants but hasn't shown up, hasn't called, hasn't even asked about him. I'm being told to double check that he doesn't want custody before I leave for home but again, he's been able to show up any time and hasn't. He's had this opportunity to see him and even has had the ability while the charges were in place (he just had to go through someone).

Last time I attempted to call him, I ended up panicking so hard and when I texted him my question he ended up cursing me out, asking who I was.

I just want to leave. Don't need his permission to leave but I can't if he files any legal action against me.

What do I do?
