should drivers have to know english?

ha

so, today i took a lyft home and i noticed my driver was going an odd way i’d never been before, and he was maybe lost or confused. his GPS was in spanish so i couldn’t make out what it was saying and i was a little concerned i’d gotten in the wrong lyft (i don’t know shit about types of cars lol) i tried to give him directions and then again to tell him which house was mine/where he could drop me off, but all he could say was “i’m sorry i don’t speak english” luckily i knew just enough spanish from school to tell him where to turn and where to stop and let me out, but it’s got me thinking. should speaking english be a requirement for uber and lyft drivers? or should they just know enough, like for directions etc? is it a safety hazard to not be able to communicate with your driver, or is it unfair to exclude many people from being able to work or have a job as a driver? should everyone know a little more of another language other than english just in case? i’m very curious of y’all’s thoughts
