I think my little sister is in denial..that or she thinks our mother will give in and let her keep this puppy. My mom has 3 dogs already lol.

If you didn’t see my post last night my 16 yr old sister showed up with a puppy (yes I had to send a stray puppy to a rescue a few months ago due to my landlords no dog rule. But I have moved and can have as many dogs as I want. I loved her and made sure she had a good chance.)

This puppy was adopted and then the girl decided she didn’t want her and was keeping her in a cage in her car 24/7 and handed her over to my sister and my mom said no so my sister brought it to my house begging me to take her because when she went home my mom was like “oh hell no”

Then she came back over tried to take her home. I had already called my mom and my mom told me “her friend texted me and asked me to take the puppy and I said no and she still let your sister take her home. So I’m pissed that I was ignored.” And I honestly tried to talk her into it on my sisters behalf because she loves this puppy. She flat out told me “that dog better not be in my house when I wake up.” And that was that. So I told my sister when she showed up trying to take her back “you can’t take her. Mom is mad that you took her home, I called her. If she wakes up to this dog in her house she’s gonna make you bring it back and she’s going to be livid. You need to keep her here and let her get used to her new home.”

And she was like “she’s MY dog.” And I said “you can come over anytime you want and help take care of her. I work and I’ll give you a key to come let her out to potty during the day and love on her. Sound good?” “Okay but she’s mine.” about to CRY

“Okay sis.” And she left...

Do you think I should just leave it? Or talk to her more about it so she doesn’t just up and take it home? 😂 if she takes the puppy, it’s at my moms house. It wouldn’t be a big deal because I can literally just go get her. But I don’t want her to get in trouble I really think she needs to understand. This isn’t like a defiance thing. She’s emotional about it which makes it harder and I don’t want to come off harsh
