At home artificial insemination

me and my hubby have been trying for our first for almost 8 months with no luck and he often gets shy during my fertile window and struggles to finish so we’ve looked at at home artificial insemination using a medical syringe to insert the semen inside of me.. sorry TMI I know! What im wondering is if we wear a non latex condom and he finishes in that can I then withdraw the semen into the syringe and complete the procedure? Sorry if it sounds stupid, we’re just desperate for this baby and this seems like the next step for us to take :) I would really appreciate any help whatsoever, thanks girls x
