How long is the nicu stay for 34 week born babies? Please comment ideas or similar experiences.

They typically tell you their expected due date, but depending on the baby and problems this date will change. My oldest was born at 35 weeks and needed to gain a little weight and had trouble breathing and had to be on a CPAP and had a little jaundice. He was sent home after 3 weeks and the third week was an extra precaution.

It depends on the baby.  But anywhere from 2-4 weeks depending also on the medical condition.   I like to tell parents it’s generally about when baby would be full term, 38-40 weeks.

My son was 35 weeks idk if it makes a difference but my son didn't stay in NICU he was good but a few weeks later he had to go for Jaundice .
